John is a seasoned, aggressive, experienced healthcare executive who has had success in Big Pharma and Entrepreneurial Pharma in the US and Globally. Proven to be adept at Company Building, Brand Building, Financial and Team Building, Market Analysis, Targeting, Effective Promotion, Effective Acquisition and Licensing deals, John has deep, well defined contacts in the Healthcare Industry with Companies, Banks, Brokers, Marketing and Diligence Teams. He has been successful in partnering deals that have created substantial value for investors and shareholders in the companies he has helped lead as well as served as a consultant for. In those leadership and consultant roles, John has led the launch and re-launch of over two dozen products and brands in the healthcare space. Having started his career at Eli Lilly and Company, John moved into the entrepreneurial start up business with ESP Pharma followed by Esprit Pharma, and currently serves as a consultant to companies of all sizes and stages in the healthcare industry. John is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a BA Degree in Communications.

Amartya Basu, PhD, MBA, PMP
Dr. Basu brings 25+ years of drug discovery/development, project/program and alliance management experience to Emerge Healthcare Consulting management team. His strategic and operational experiences span academia and pharmaceutical industry focusing on Oncology – from early stage through life cycle management. He managed/led several novel compounds through phase transitions and has been involved in several due diligence activities assessing potential ‘drug-able’ molecules and, platform technologies. Dr. Basu worked for start-up biotech companies as well as in large global pharma companies such as, Roche and Celgene. He recognizes that drug development is a multi-functional effort of utmost integrity to create value and as an Adviser, he offers strategy to realize the ‘value-adding’ vision. Dr. Basu received a PhD degree in Biochemistry from New Jersey Medical School and earned an Executive MBA degree from Rutgers Business School, along with being PMI certified project management professional. He has authored 50+ publications and holds 20 patents on various biomedical applications.
Dave Iwanicki is a graduate of Western New England University where he earned his B.S.B.A. in marketing. He has spent 29 years in the pharmaceutical Industry on the commercial side of the business. Dave was employed at Eli Lilly and Company for 17 years in roles in sales, sales management, new product planning and domestic and global marketing. After leaving Eli Lilly in 2002 he has held various sales and marketing leadership roles at ESP Pharma, PDL BioPharma, EKR Therapeutics and Discovery and Publicis Touchpoint Solutions on behalf of Astra Zeneca. In the past few years Dave built the commercial team supporting Sofregen Medical in the Aesthetics space. Through March of 2020 Dave was working with HLS Therapeutics supporting the commercialization of a novel blood test device used in the CNS space. Dave has worked in 3 different contract sales organizations in his career (Publicis Touchpoint, Spectra BioPharma and Vanguard Pharma) Dave resides with his wife and son in Malvern PA.
Bill is a seasoned Life Science Executive with more then 40 years of experience. Bill began his pharmaceutical career working for Baxter in a sales/marketing and clinical capacity. Bill was a pioneer in founding one of the first 5 global CROs called In Vivo, Inc. becoming the largest late stage CRO in the world, selling the company to a NYSE company in 1994.
Since then he’s held a series of executive management positions with both public and private Life Science service providers, including Dendrite International, FCG Consulting, Copernicus IRB and WCCT. Bill has also built a consulting practice over the last 10 years with Medical Marketing Solutions, LLC.
His expertise encompasses Global Clinical R&D (Phase 1-4), Clinical IT, Sales/Marketing and M&A.
